Chantauvent Guesthouse

With its shifting winds and colorful palette, Chantauvent will leave the visitor with unforgettable memories

Set on a breathtaking lagoon, Chantauvent is a charming guesthouse situated in Pointe d’Esny, near Mahébourg, on the South East coast of Mauritius. Mahébourg is a colorful and lively town, steeped in Mauritian history. Fisherman and shopkeepers ply the streets, adding to the rich and dynamic atmosphere of this coastal treasure.

Dark volcanic rock makes for a stark contrast to the bright white coral sand on the long and open beaches of Pointe d’Esny. Tropical fish swim just underneath the peaceful surface of the remarkable brilliant-blue lagoon, which stretches out to a coral reef and open ocean just beyond. Punctuating the western end, the Blue Bay marine park, a UNESCO world heritage site, is a rich and colorful underwater ecosystem brimming with unique coral and marine life.

It is an idyllic destination for all those seeking rest, peace and serenity. Individuals, couples, and families are all invited to experience the dazzling natural wealth of the region, with activities ranging from kite-surfing, windsurfing, and wave surfing to scuba diving and snorkeling.

"Ici tout change, le ciel, la mer, les rochers, le vent. On part plus riche qu'on est venu"
JMG Le Clézio, Prix Nobel de littérature, lors d'un séjour à Chantauvent.
